Aloha,
Thanks for choosing to dive with Island Divers Hawaii. We had another beautiful Saturday on the water. Danica and Dennis were out joining us for their last weekend of diving before heading back home to Kansas. We also had Bruce, Jonathan, Nick, Krishna, Seana, Wyatt, Matt, Kevin, and Leslie joining us for some fun in the sun and water!!! On our first dive we had great visibility and a descent current. Our max depth was about 85′ and we had a total bottom time of :36. Since there was a strong current, we used the lines all the way to the wreck and then headed to the small cave on the right side. We didn’t see a shark, but did find some beautiful sea turtles. After that we zigzagged across the wreck looking at the reef fish and nudis. We were all great on our air and headed to the shark cave. We were rewarded with a HUGE white tip reef shark. I’m talking biggest reef shark I’ve seen in Hawai’i waters! It was a fantastic score at the end of our great dive. We then had an hour long surface interval which was just enough time to switch tanks and get our fill of Famous Amos cookies, Red Vines, and hot chocolate. Early morning sugar high, check! Max (captain in training) then took us to Fantasy Reef. Danica requested sharks and we happily provided them again! On this site we found two more white tip reef sharks! Woohoo! We also saw tons of turtles, a turkey fish, a rock scorpion fish, and lots of eels! As you might guess, we had a great time on Fantasy Reef. Over all, today was another epic day of diving in HI. Thanks again for choosing to spend your Saturday morning diving with IDH. It was our pleasure to escort you in the underwater paradise of HI. Until next time, dive easy!
Aloha,
