Scuba Diving Classes – NITROX Certification $185
The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Scuba diving classes will teach you how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Diving with NITROX can change your dive experience by increasing your no-decompression limits, increasing your safety, and reducing the required length of your surface intervals when compared to air tanks.
The course includes one tank of nitrox. We provide additional Nitrox tanks for $17.50 per tank. If you are not Nitrox certified, getting that certification has never been easier or more fun!
A student completes coursework for NITROX Scuba diving classes online. It takes about 2 hours. The only additional requirement for certification is to practice analyzing the oxygen content of a Nitrox tank using the proper equipment. This takes about 10 minutes. Included in the price of the course you will receive one Nitrox tank for your dive on your booked 2 tank boat charter. If you want an additional NITROX tank for your course it will be only $17.50.
Tips on planning your course.
A nitrox course can be added to any fun day of diving. Like the two tank wreck and drift dive (but any dive you decide on really). Adding a nitrox course is an option while booking the dive. If you do book online, you will still have to call us so we can assign the digital learning to your MySSI App. Alternatively, you can book it all by phone.
Another way to get your nitrox course: add it to a Group Continuing Education Course. Nitrox courses can completed easily in conjunction with other diving specialty courses. While booking, just click the optional checkbox. Unfortunately, this one click option doesn’t get you out of completing the coursework.
Advanced Open Water Diver Certified Yet?
You can also participate in the SSI Enriched Air Specialty Course if you are currently enrolled in the SSI Advanced Adventurer Course as a required specialty dive. After completing the NITROX online education during your Advanced Course, you will make an enriched air dive, which can be credited towards the SSI Enriched Air NITROX Diver Certification.
