Open Water PADI Certification options at Island Divers

The classroom portion of the PADI Open Water Diver course is completed online at your own pace, anytime, anywhere with PADI eLearning.

While you’re working through the PADI Open Water Diver Course Online or after you complete all the segments, you can print your eLearning record and bring it into us to start the next phase in your underwater adventure.

PADI eLearning gives you:

  • Convenient online access to knowledge development course material for one year
  • Unrestricted access to an online version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual
  • Learning at your own pace and on your own schedule.

 

Semi-Private Open Water Course $495

  • This Open Water PADI certification course is all-inclusive and you can start any day. All boat dives and days need not be consecutive.
  • Included in your scuba diving training are all equipment needed, E-Learning codes, private confined water instruction, and certification.

Day 1- Review your self-guided eLearning along with a morning pool session where you will begin to learn the basic skills of scuba diving. You will then jump on the afternoon 2 tank shallow reef charter to complete the first session of your open water training dives.

Days 2 – Again you will meet in the morning to complete the confined water training of the course, then on to finish your last two open ocean dives. Successfully completing the diving class will allow you to go scuba diving and rent equipment anywhere in the world.

Private Open Water Course $695

  • All inclusive 2-day PADI course (1-2 person max).
  • This course follows the Semi-Private Course with a private instructor in the confined water training, but with the private course, you will also have a private instructor on the ocean diving portion as well.

A typical schedule for this scuba diving training begins early in the morning on day one with E-learning quick review. You will then complete a few hours of confined water training and then on to the 2 tank afternoon shallow reef dive.

Day two you will begin the morning with your final confined water session of scuba diving training and again onto the afternoon dive charter to complete the last two open water scuba diving training dives.

Weekend Open Water Course $319

-available only at our downtown location

This is an awesome opportunity for our local friends to get certified on your own time and at a great local price, also open to anyone who will be visiting for an extended vacation in Oahu, Hawaii. Take the weekend, having a great time scuba diving during this scuba diving course, and you will be certified for life!

What to Expect:

Tuesday – Orientation meeting

Saturday and Sunday -confined water training and 2 boat dives each day

For this scuba dive training course, the student comes to our Waikiki dive shop the Tuesday before the weekend training for an orientation and gear check. The student is required to provide their own personal mask, snorkel, and fins. These are to be brought to orientation to confirm they are scuba quality and can be used for the class. You can purchase at the orientation if the student does not have personal set.

You can also rent the set for $25 a day. You can use the value of the rental to purchase your own mask, fins, and snorkel at the end of the class.  All other costs, your boat charters for all your training, and other rental gear needed are included.

 

Upon Padi certification we will invite you back for free Oahu shore diving with your instructor so you can learn the local Oahu dive sites, and invite you for discounted boat diving trips to the best scuba diving in Oahu!

Group Open Water Course $195

-Available at our Schofield Barracks location

During this lengthy scuba dive training week, you are able to get your diving classes completed after your full-time job schedule.

For this Scuba diving course option:

  • You must provide your own mask, fins, and snorkel, or rent the set for $25 a day. You can use the value of the rental to purchase your own mask, fins, and snorkel at the end of the class. You can purchase a set at any time for a discounted price at any of our dive shops Oahu.
  • Classes start every Tuesday at our Schofield Barracks location. Civilian access to Schofield Barracks is located at the Lyman Gate. If you are non-military give us a call so we can instruct you on your options.
  • Before class begins on Tuesday, students are required to call the store to obtain their online PADI E-Learning Open Water Manual code, if you have not already received it. Your E-Learning must be completed in its entirety prior to the start of Tuesday night’s class.

Our group class runs Tuesday night, Saturday and Sunday in consecutive order. We do not provide transportation for these classes. Saturday and Sunday beach dive class times are subject to change. You will be informed by your instructor of any changes.

 

Tuesday Night:
6:00-10 pm –  Check-in, paperwork, purchase or rental of mask, fin, & snorkel. Or if you bring your own, our instructor will do a check for scuba quality.
