SHARK CAVE – OCCUPIED!! 14 july
sweet dive day today with blue skies and great visibility! some big waves as a summer swell is hitting Oahu’s south shore with 6 footers. the surfers are loving it, but that makes for a bit of surge underwater. but the current was mild so a bit of surge is kind of fun to swim in. we moored up at baby barge and dropped down on a free descent so we could visit the shark cave, which had a good sized white tip shark relaxing inside. heading up the ledge we saw turtles and eels, and at the wreck, another shark! nice dive!! But even better was our drift of Fantasy Reef, where our gang was stoked to see the huge turtles that live there! also more sharks, sponge crabs, slipper lobster, plus a moray with a cleaner shrimp working on his teeth! thanks to francisco and natalia from columbia, and ron, brent, and manolo for coming out to dive with us. good job all, larry, joe, max
