Scuba Saturday!
Today was a great day to learn how to dive! The weather was fantastic and all of the divers were excited to hop in the water with such awesome conditions.
At Koko Crater, divers dropped down onto awesome visibility and calm seas which made it very easy for the students to do their skills. We got to spend time with some of the turtles and other marine life.
We did some navigation skills with a compass to complete the skill set required for certification and the students did fantastic! It was really cool to see how different it is to navigate under the waves.
It seemed as though many of the creatures that we encountered were having an “afternoon nap” and were doing a great job of blending in with their surroundings.
At our second site, Anglers Reef, divers had a lot of fun exploring the site. Since we completed most of the skills on the first dive, the students got to spend a little more time playing around in the ocean.
There were so many fish out and around the reef ledge, it made for a really great dive.
It was great to see a lot of families out enjoying the water and becoming certified. It is really something that, as instructors, love to pass on. Our love for diving and our love of the ocean.
We saw a ton of crabs around the site too! We had a lot of eyes checking each of the small holes around the reef. There was so much to see!
Thanks again to all of the divers who came out with us this afternoon on the Sea Fox. Congrats to the new PADI divers!
