EAGLE RAY ALLEY 15 Octoberpus

Ahh, we got to dive our beloved Spitting Caves today, a world – class dive site, in my opinion, and I’ve seen a lot of them!  That was our 2nd dive, a drift dive  – the usual on our advanced charters.  It was really fun today, as we were racing the outgoing tide, trying to get around the corner before the green marina/low tide water reached us.  Along the lava walls, caves, and canyons, we saw green sea turtles, cow fish, frog fish, lots of shoaling reef fish, and a big eagle ray who swam right under us! Love to watch those guys fly through the ocean!  Cara and Cat were working on their Advanced course, and Matt (lives and dives in Saskatchuan!), Andrew, also Canadian, plus Mike from New South Wales in Aussie land were out for fun. Good divers all around!   For our first dive, we moored up at Corsair, and the current was perfect – mild!!  Fun dive and nice viz, with shoals of fish and garden eels surrounded the downed airplane.  Thanks to all for safe diving,  larry and joe
