Crabs! (Nov5)
What a nice day aboard the Fox! We had a small group today of only 5 divers, all of who were fantastic. We dropped down onto Koko Crater just past midday to some great conditions.
We came across some familiar underwater creatures like the turtles and the schools of fish. The visibility was so good we could see forever!
We came across a lot of cool creatures like this scorpion fish that blended into the edge of the reef.
This cool pincushion sea star was scattered all throughout the reef as well, in all different sizes and colors!
After about 35 minutes, the divers made their way back to the boat and enjoyed some nice conversation and light snacks.
Over at Angler’s, we saw a rather unusual sight. Of course, we had the regular eel and fish crowd, but we were joined by some cool new creatures.
We came across a group of large sponge crabs! There were three crabs (unique because of their spongy shell) the size of dinner plates were huddled in a nook off the reef.
Such a great way to spend the afternoon aboard the Sea Fox for another great afternoon of diving! Thanks so much to each person who made the day so great!
