KOKO CRITTERS !! 10 jan

Hawaii, home of the green sea turtle.  and, boy, divers love to see them.  they are endangered, and therefore protected from human predation or harassment.  this makes them very relaxed around divers, who love getting a close look at these engaging Koko Critters. they love the ledges and underhangs at Koko Craters, one of our awesome shallow sites.  so many big, curious turtles today, we were smiling underwater! lots of reef fish and a big old octopus were all part of dive one.  2nd dive was over at turtle canyons, where there are currently several juvenile green sea turtles, possibly bred in captivity and released into the wild.   fun to see them too!  lots of coral there, and large schools of juvenile reef fish also.  plus the resident eels – yellow margin, viper, white mouths, zebras, whew, so many!!  thanks to all for safe diving!  larry, brad, and captain joe
