DIVING THE CORSAIR AIRPLANE

always a special dive, as pilots and aircraft aficionados from around the world come all the way to Oahu, Hawaii, to dive this site.  at 107 feet of depth sits this WWII fighter plane.  the Corsair is a propeller driven craft, and that propeller is still intact and attached.  the fuselage is deteriorating, but the windshield and tail are also still attached.  one wing lies in the sand next to it.  the craft is surrounded by a sandy bottom, teaming with garden eels, as well as schools of various reef fish.  we also see eels, octopus, rays, and occasional sharks cruising.  a marvelous dive.  Fantasy reef was our 2nd jump, and we drifted for 50 minutes, spotting sharks, turtles, rays, frogfish, and beautiful topography!  thanks to all for safe diving,  larry, ryan, captain joe
