Hailing from deep in the heart of Texas, Manolo is a regular cowboy under the water. With teaching specialties Deep, Wreck, and Night diving under his belt, this Master Scuba Diver Trainer is at home taking recreational diving to the limits. Manolo completed his Open Water course in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia in late 2012. There he discovered his passion for diving. A few short months later, Manolo quit his full-time job in order to pursue the life of a dive instructor. Besides Australia, Manolo’s logbook contains dives from Spain, Dubai, and Thailand. In Thailand, Manolo completed his professional internship in late 2013.
Prior to diving, Manolo was a soldier in the Texas Army National Guard. Enlisting at the age of 17, Manolo served 7 years in the reserves and went on a combat deployment to Afghanistan. After his discharge Manolo continued to serve in Afghanistan as a contractor for 3 more years. Manolo loves to travel, play video games, hike, kayak, and drink a cold beer after a hard day’s divinga hard day’s diving
