One tank dive at Koko Craters with the best conditions all week — April 28

The wind finally died down for Ed and Brenda, a lovely couple who joined us for just one tank on the afternoon fox today. Capt Joe shot the Fox straight out to Koko Craters in Maunalua Bay and the team of four divers: our couple, lead by MSDT and dive guide Pete, and accompainied by IDC Staff Instructor Gramps Gregory who also happens to be Pete’s long time friend, mentor & certifying divemaster instructor. Gramps took Pete under his wing and taught Pete the ways of the dive indistry many moons ago, in Thailand.

Ed, an engineer, and Brenda, nurse, hail from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. The couple was stoked to get out for Brenda’s first fun dive in the deep blue sea after just finishing her open water course in a 30′ deep fresh water pool back home only a few weeks ago.

We saw plenty of turtles and awesome reef fish. We were even graced by a very determined, and very large, Yellow-Margin Marray Eel whom apparently had somewhere important to go as he barged his way right through us!

Great dive Ed and Brenda! Gramps, was great blowing blubbles with you again my old friend!

Until next time my friends, stay wet!
