Ohhh Barracuda 4/30
On this pleasant Hawaiian morning, we took off with high spirits and many thoughts about where to dive. We had some requests for the Corsair but with one jumping on just out of her open water class I did not feel that we needed to go to the deepest wreck that we have in this bay. So we decided on the LCU, Landing craft utility and enjoyed a blissful 30 minutes dive with some of the most laid back and self contained divers that I have ever had the pleasure of diving with. After we started to ascend we saw a Hawks bill sea turtle down on the LCU, wishing that he was there only 5 minutes earlier. After we had a 45 minute surface interval. We jumped in for a drift dive at Fantasy Reef, absolutely incredible visibility with a mass amount of green sea turtles. Drifting along the Fantasy we also came across a cavern with a Giant Hawks bill sea turtle and an equally giant Yellow moray eel, and a cleaner shrimp the size of my middle finger! They were all blissfully hiding in their cave having a quaint little get together. After a 45 minute dive we had drifted all the way to Larry’s Ledge and began our ascent. I want to thank Harun for being so flexible and taking a lovely morning ride with me to Hawaii Kai, you are always welcome on my charters with your cheery attitude and need to dive. Another thanks to Justine and Sarah for coming last minute and making my day completely worth it, it is nice to see two awesome chicks showing the world how talented you both are, you rocked it today. Thank you to Caleb for coming back out with us for day two you made my day easy with your low maintenance and your stamina thank you for coming back to join in the fun again. And lastly thank you to Robert for coming out and having a very upbeat tempo and making me laugh all day long, you were a treat to have on the boat. Thanks to all of you my day was incredibly simple and quite enjoyable I can not wait to dive with you all again very soon and I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Mahalo!
