Wow, what a day of scuba diving with some incredibly memorable moments. Our Hawaii Scuba University divers and a hand full of courageous guests had some big swells roll through us today. Our strong team of divers had 100+ viz, sea life fly bys, and lots of fun, all at “Sea Cave” and “Turtle Canyon.” Let’s do it again HSU!
Along the wall we headed East and encountered a charging and curious Spotted Eagle Ray. At one point during the dive I hear a tank banger go off, I look left, fast. I’m face to face with an Eagle Ray coming in hot. It veers off only 10 ft away from my nose. So amazing!
In my minds eye I can still see its funny white snout pointed directly at me. Normally, you are chasing the Eagle Rays and all you can see, is tail. Its face reminds me of a cartoon character I saw as a kid. Anyways, upon surfacing we were face to face with some whites water and swells. Everyone was magnificent riding our foxy lady through the rolling and pitching both on and off the boat. Please come back for more soon.
