NOT SO STORMY WEATHER ! 20 july

wow, big storm last night, with flash flood warnings over all the islands!  thunder and lightening woke most of us up, and kept us wondering about our trip getting canceled, as the storm was supposed to around for a few days!  but we always give it a shot, and it turned out to be a great day of diving!  andrea and dean wanted to see the sharks under the LCU, so off we headed, finding sharks and eagle rays, sleeping and cruising, respectively.  strong currents!  for dive two we headed over past diamond head and moored up on the YO 257.  viz was down due to so much runoff, but the YO just had this cool, rather eerie, look in the usually greenish water!  turtles and eels, and large schools of fish kept us company as we swam through the cabins and down stairways.  3rd jump was a drift of Fantasy reef, and it was just perfect.   mild current and 150 viz revealed fantasy’s huge turtle population, plus several sharks, as well as beautiful coral and topography!  and a huge eagle ray just before our safety stop!   thanks to all for good and safe diving today.  larry, everette, augie,  joe, lauren , max
