A Double Dose (Oct5)
Another great day for diving today in Oahu! We had a full boat today and it made for an exciting day out on the water. We decided that a boat full of certified divers and students that we would tie off at Fantasy Reef and do a double dive, to maximize our experience.
After a short briefing from the instructors, divers separated into appropriate groups and made their way to the reef.
Divers spotted many different kinds of marine life today, from white tipped reef sharks to huge green sea turtles.
After spending a half hour or so on the sea floor we made our way back onto the boat and enjoyed some light snacks and great conversation before we headed back into the water for our second dive.
It started to rain lightly as we hopped in again, but the conditions stayed rather good for the second part of the dives.
We enjoyed the swimthroughs and the massive schools of fish that inhabit the reef. There was tons of sea stars, from the large crown of thorns to the puffy pincushion.
We came across scorpion fish and eels and many other kinds of marine life today. With such great visibility, it was hard not to see so many cool things!
Once again we made our way back onto the boat and headed back into the marina with a group of new PADI certified divers! Congrats guys!
