Sunday Surf (Nov2)
Another great day for diving on Oahu. Despite the surface tension that we encountered, the conditions under the surface were spectacular! The visibility was out of this world and we had a great time checking out some local dive sites.
At Koko Crater, we enjoyed calm waters that were housing many sea turtles. We explored the larger craters and spotted many different sea creatures.
There were so many kinds of fish, but today was different because there were tons of eels out and about on the reef!
Of course, we dove passed Big Buddha and rubbed his belly for good luck. Today, there were sergeant major eggs on the belly, which attracted many wrasse and other hungry fish.
Under the ledges of the crater, we spotted these cool pufferfish who were enjoying the calm waters.
At our second site, we hopped into to massive schools of Moorish idols, which were cruising along the ledge and Angler’s.
Again we came across many different things that were housed along the ridgeline. This pimcushion seastar was all over the reef!
We came across the smaller animals too, like this tiny nudibranch that decided to come along for the ride!
