Scuba Diving on Superbowl Weekend in Oahu 1/31
Today was a beautiful day to be out on the water on the southeast side of Oahu. We had a great group of divers as we motored out to the corsair for the first dive with little wind and no swell. As we got in the water there was little current and great viz. When we got down to the plane there were goatfish and butterflyfish swimming all over the place. We also had a few eels hiding in the wreck as well as some soldierfish. We even saw a large octopus hiding out under one of the wings. It was a great start to the morning but soon we were off to the second dive.
For the second site we drifted Sea Cave and again it was wonderful viz. Inside the cave we found a couple white tip reef sharks as well as a good size yellow hairy hermit crab. Outside the cave were a few turtles swimming about and eels hiding about the reef. We had a nice current as we made our way along the wall with reef fish all about and the sound of whale song faintly heard. Another perfect start to the weekend and beautiful day on the waters of Oahu.
