Fun in the Sun, and Underwater!
Today was a beautiful day out on the water in Maunalua bay. The sun was shinning hot as we headed out on the Seafox. There were 12 divers on board today, some new some old diving buddies, but everyone was ready to blow some bubbles. The first dive site we went to was Anglers Reef. We dropped down to 46 feet and followed the ledge along the reef. After just a few minutes of being under we spotted a nice big moray eel! We were also able to find an octopus hiding in a hole in the rocks. He was a bit shy though and didn’t want to come out to play, not surprisingly. After a 35 minute dive we headed back up onto the boat.
The second dive site we went to today was Koko Craters. Our maximum depth here was 40 feet. We swam around the series of craters checking out the Buddha statues as we went. We were able to find a couple more moray eels on this dive. We also had tons of little reef fish swimming with us the whole dive. One even thought my hair looked a bit tasty and took a little nibble! Silly Sergeant Majors. After a 38 minute dive we headed back up to the boat to catch some final rays as we motored back into the marina. It was a beautiful day of diving surrounded by great company!
