Shark at New Barge!!

The sky was blue and the trade winds were blowing today, what a day for a couple of dives.  The boat was excited to dive New Barge today and first thing after dropping in we saw a beautiful white tip reef shark swimming around the wreck.  While exploring the wreck we got to see the shark up close and personal on the inside too!!  The viz was about 150 feet and there was little current.

Then we made our way to Spitting Caves for the drift dive.  The current was going east so Captain Joe dropped us over the turtle cleaning station.  Right at our decent we got to see at least 8 turtles right off the bat.  The Hawaiian Green Hono are always such a peaceful creature and they didn’t seem to mind us joining them there.  We also got to see a very cool white scorpion leaf fish and the ever so camouflaged scorpion devil fish.  On the drift we were joined for awhile by one of the turtles, it seemed very interested in our dive.  Later in the dive we got to see our favorite baby turtle also.  It was a great day on the water.  Chul, Catherine, Ole, Steven, Emily, Dieter, Matija, Paige, Scott, Amy and Charles all had a great time.
