6th Annual IDH Underwater Pumpkin Carving!!!
Thank you all again for joining us on our 6th annual IDH underwater pumpkin carving. We had a fantastic turn out with 14 pumpkins being carved and nearly 20 divers in the water! Capt. Kendal (our very own every day pirate, no costume needed) lead our chariot, the majestic Sea Fox, off on our adventure. We headed out in search of sandy bottoms and minimal spiny urchins. Our quest took us to the ever famous, Koko Craters. There was a bit of an easterly current, but the water was warm and the visibility was great! We all had a ghoulishly good time craving our pumpkins. I especially had fun playing pumpkin wrangler and event photographer! Congratulations to our pumpkin carving winners: 1) Lauren George, 2) Michelle Bossler, and 3) Jordan Shamir!!! Your pumpkins rocked our boat! Also, we had a great group of costumes to judge! Olaf and Elsa showed up to dive and sing. In addition, we had Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Wonderwoman, a mermaid, a zebra, and a witch! We also had mustard and a hotdog show up post dive! Our costume winners were: Wonder woman (Michelle Vining), the mermaid (Laura Vining), and the Hotdog (Bill).
If you think this looked fun, but you aren’t certified, call our shop and schedule your open water class! We have IDH representatives anxiously awaiting your calls. They will be more than happy to get you started on a diving adventure! Or if you are certified, come join us underwater for our Thanksgiving club event: da turkey fry! Yes, turkeys are deep fried on the dock, but you can get your dive on pre-bird and go searching for the Hawaiian turkey fish (I did not make that up, they are real).
Thank you again for choosing to dive with Island Divers Hawaii. We had a fantastic time exploring the underwater world with you. We wish you all a safe and fun Halloween! Until next time, dive easy!
Aloha, Amy
