Turtles Galore
Today was a gorgeous day out on the Seafox in Hawaii. The skies were clear and so was the water! We couldn’t have asked for better weather as we headed out into Maunalua bay this afternoon. With a group of all certified divers on the boat we headed out to our shallow reef sites. The first site we hit was Koko craters, known for its abundance of turtles and Buddha statues! We saw lots of turtles today, some out swimming around and some napping underneath the ledges. We were also able to spot a couple moray eels on this first dive. The reef fish were out and about swimming right along with us. We also found a great big helmet conch. After a nice long 55 minute dive at 37 feet we headed back up to the boat and over to our second dive site.
The second site we went to today was turtle canyons. Here we were able to find a couple more moray eels. And we saw my favorite, the porcupine fish! Those great big puffers have the cutest faces! As we wound our way around the reef we saw tons of pincushion seastars and sea urchins all over the place. After another 55 minute dive at 35 feet we hoped back on the boat to soak up some final hawaiian sun rays before getting back to the dock. Overall another amazing day out on the boat with some amazing new dive buddies. Hope to see everyone out here again soon!
