Baby Turtle on Fantasy!! 7/9 am
Kahala barge was a beautiful first choice on our dive sites today. No current at all and 100+ foot of visibility. Our experienced crew of divers just explored inside and outside of the wreck today. Tons of reef fish, octopus, fuzzy crabs hiding in shells and a turtle in the wreck. We had a few people that enjoyed nitrox on this dive and got to stay down even longer. There is starting to be some good growth on the wreck which makes it even better to dive on.
Fantasy Reef was our second site today. It was wonderful….So many turtles. The current was light so we got to spend tons of time poking around the reef. We made our way down the chimney, got to see a very good sized shark, huge moray eels and again tons of reef fish. We had the same great viz again. It was amazing to dive again and we had a super drift. We got to see the baby turtle that lives there too! It has been there for quite awhile so it’s been super fun to watch him grow. The picture posted is a bit deceiving on size…he is only about as big as a basketball. He is super friendly too and always interested in the divers around. After the dive in as we prepared to end our day Kelsey provided us with hot towels which is always a dive boat favorite. Some of our regular divers really can’t wait for that part of the dive!
Thanks everyone for coming out. It was a super dive day for all of us!
