Chelsea grew up in Puerto Rico and has been diving since she was 12 years old. Since then, she has spent many summers diving and working on different marine research projects all over the world. She has worked on a crown of thorns starfish removal in Malaysia, coral reef monitoring in Madagascar, and various projects in Honduras (including teaching a coral reef ecology course). After graduating from college in Massachusetts with a degree in environmental studies, international relations, and marine science, she went south to escape the cold. Chelsea became a divemaster in 2013 and an instructor in 2014. Since then she has taught in Florida, Puerto Rico, Utila, and the Hawaiian islands and can teach nineteen different specialties.
