Sarah grew up in North Carolina visiting the beautiful Outer Banks regularly. It was these beaches that grew Sarah's love for the ocean at a young age. Her family would swear she was part fish based on the amount of time she would spend in the water.
Sarah went to college at the University of North Carolina in Chapel hill to study Biology and Marine Science. In 2011, during her time at UNC, Sarah received her Open Water Scuba Diver certification and her ability to connect with the ocean was taken to a whole new level. Sarah had a deep love for scuba from the first time she blew bubbles. Her studies ended up taking her to the Galapagos Islands for a semester. The Enchanted Islands taught her much about our constantly evolving ocean planet, those that inhabit it and our dire need to conserve it. After graduating in May 2015 Sarah moved to Utila, Honduras to pursue a professional level of diving. After diving every day for 4 months and receiving her divemaster and instructor certifications her dream of being a fish was becoming closer to a reality.
In January Sarah found herself moving to Hawaii to work for us here at Island Divers to spread her love of the ocean with as many divers as she can. "Take only pictures, leave only bubbles, kill only time!"
