July 10- Why do the turtles love it in Maunalua Bay?

Why do the turtles love it in Maunalua Bay? Is it the same reason Island Divers Hawaii loves it? It could be the fabulous currents that speed us along on our dive at just the right speed, or the colorful coral and 100 foot plus viz. Or is it the underwater ridges that are riddled throughout the bay, or the random mounds of unexpected barges and piles of artificial reef?  Or wait, maybe it’s the sharks, turtles, and monk seals all living right here in our bay! While turtles aren’t the smartest animals in the sea they sure know a choice spot when they find it.  A college professor once told me, “Davy, find out where you’re the happiest, move there, then worry about finding work.”  Only problem is those darn turtles took all the best spots!

Whatever your answer is about why you love Maunalua Bay, share it, I’d love you hear what you love about scuba diving in Maunalua Bay.
