Spiny Lobsters and Scorpion Fish Among the Snowflake Eels in Oahu

A perfect day for advanced dives at Island Divers Hawaii! We had a nice group of divers from all over United States and Japan today.

As divers geared up we headed out on the Sea Fox into Maunalua Bay. Our first dive site destination was  LCU, sitting at a maximum depth if 90ft, this wreck dive holds sleeping white tip sharks and  traveling  spotted eagle rays. Below divers swam around while explored the wreck, penetrating the upside down vessel looking for spiny lobsters and scorpion fish. Around the wreck small spotted snowflake eels and doctor fish hide in the shadows between concrete Z-blocks. After a 34 minute dive we began our slow ascent back to the surface while holding the mooring line as the current began to pick up.

On our second dive of the day we a fun and mild drift across Secrets. With a max depth of 40 feet divers enjoyed large groups of hawaiian green sea turtles and schools of Hawaiian Sargent fish. Divers also enjoyed watching butterfly, wrasse and parrot fish swimming in all directions.
