There is no better way to escape the heat then go diving! Well that’s what 6 other certified and 1 DSD divers thought as well. So everyone showed up ready to go, boat briefing was done, and we were on our way to the open sea. The water temperature was around 79 degrees and everyone […]
About Daniel Bond
Being born and raised in a small town, Excello, MO, obtaining his BA in Christian Music Education, and a long history of teaching/youth ministry there was rarely a mention of scuba diving anywhere.
But one day in 2013 the call/opportunity came for him and his wife to move to the Cayman Islands as a music teacher. Instantly falling in love with the ocean, he soon gained interest in doing everything the water had to offer. Upon completing his 1st dive Daniel was hooked! By the year of 2016 Daniel achieved his instructor certification. Still loving the island life, but wanting to be back in the United States, Hawaii became the #1 obvious choice.
Presently working at Island Divers, Daniel loves the ability to allow others experience the beautiful waters of Hawaii. He likes that he gets to meet various people from all over the world and is excited on seeing what else he can achieve being an instructor at Island Divers Hawaii.

Working at a dive shop allows you to meet all sorts of people from all backgrounds, cultures, and in this case…ages! With myself, Everett, and Carl as the instructors and Matt at the helm we set out for the bay. With the water temperature just right […]
What better thing to do then go diving to celebrate Memorial Day! That’s what 3 students and 4 certified divers, and another instructor (Bill) thought as well. With Captain Shiloh at the helm we made our way out into the gorgeous Maunalua Bay. I had wondered how things were going to be since the “King […]
Beautiful water, nice breezes, and a very eager crew of certs, DSD’s, and students made for a very nice day out in the bay. Captian Shiloh, Instructors Carl, Evans, and myself got everyone ready and briefed. We started out on “Back Crater” of “Koko Craters”. Our max depth there was 36 ft with a mild […]
